Hochschild Mining Plc (HOC.L) on Wednesday reported attributable production of 70,308 gold equivalent ounces for the third quarter, down from 96,330 ounces a year ago. The decline was mainly due to the ongoing Mara Rosa turnaround plan, which included a four-week suspension of the processing plant.
The company also delivered 5.8 million silver equivalent ounces, compared with 7.9 million in the same period last year.
Attributable gold production fell to 48.37 koz from 70 koz, while attributable silver production dropped to 1.82 million ounces from 2.19 million ounces.
For the full year, Hochschild continues to expect gold equivalent production of 291,000-319,000 ounces.
