London Stock Exchange Launches GBP 1 Bln Share Buyback Program

London Stock Exchange Group plc (LSEG.L), on Tuesday, announced the launch of a share buyback program of up to 1 billion pounds to repurchase ordinary shares.

The program will begin immediately and conclude no later than February 25, 2026.

The buyback will be conducted under the authority granted at the May 1 annual general meeting, where 39,787,711 shares remained available for repurchase as of this announcement.

The company has entered into an irrevocable agreement with Citigroup Inc. (C), Citigroup Global Markets Ltd, which will act as riskless principal and execute the purchases independently under pre-set parameters.

On Monday, the London Stock Exchange Group closed trading 0.27% higher at 9,512 pence on the London Stock Exchange.
