NCSoft Corp. (036570.KS), a South Korean video game developer and publisher, reported Tuesday a profit in its third quarter, compared to prior year's loss, despite lower sales.
In the quarter, net income attributable to shareholders of parent company was 346.70 billion Korean won, compared to last year's loss of 26.50 billion won.
Net income from continuing operation before income tax was 435.15 billion won, compared to loss of 32.04 billion won a year ago.
Operating loss of 7.47 billion won narrowed from last year's loss of 14.29 billion won.
Sales for the period, meanwhile, fell 10.4 percent to 360.04 billion won from 401.94 billion won in the previous year.
On the South Korean stock exchange, NCSoft shares were gaining around 1.8 percent to trade at 231,000 won.
