So-Young Posts Q3 Net Loss As Expenses Hurt, But Aesthetic Treatment Services Boost Revenue

So-Young International Inc. (SY), a Chinese online medical aesthetic market, on Monday reported a net loss for the third quarter, hurt by increased expenses. However, the company posted a rise in revenue.

For the three-month period to September 30, So-Young posted a net loss of RMB 64.275 million, compared with a profit of RMB 20.348 million in the same period last year.

Net loss per share stood at RMB 0.83 as against a profit of RMB 0.26 per share a year ago. Net loss per ADS was RMB 0.64, compared with the prior year's profit of RMB 0.20 per ADS.

Excluding items, loss was RMB 61.638 million, compared with a profit of last year's RMB 22.249 million.

Loss from operations was RMB 72.714 million as against a profit of RMB 4.684 million in 2024.

Total operating expenses moved up to RMB 255.582 million from last year's RMB 224.973 million. Total cost of revenues was RMB203.802 million, compared with RMB142.168 million in the previous year.

Total revenues were RMB 386.670 million, up from RMB 371.825 million in the previous year. Revenue from Aesthetic treatment services surged to RMB 183.610 million from last year's RMB 45.381 million.

Looking ahead, for the fourth quarter, So-Young expects aesthetic treatment services revenues to be in the range of RMB216 million to RMB226 million, representing a 165.8% to 178.1% increase from the same period in 2024.
