Masoval AS (MAS.OL), a Norwegian Atlantic salmon aquaculture company, reported Tuesday a net loss for the third quarter compared to a profit last year, with lower revenues.
Net loss for the period attributable to equity holders of the parent company was 33.94 million Norwegian kroner, compared to a profit 13.43 million kroner last year.
The prior-year results have been restated to ensure consistency and comparability with the 2025 reporting structure.
For the reported period, loss per share was 0.28 krone, compared to earnings per share of 0.11 krone a year ago.
However, loss before income tax narrowed to 26.21 million kroner from prior year's loss of 174.06 million kroner.
The firm reported earnings before interest and tax or EBIT of 5.14 million kroner, compared to a loss of 138.68 million kroner the earlier year. Operational EBIT was negative 41.86 million kroner, compared to last year's loss of 54.23 million kroner.
Total operating revenues declined to 579.93 million kroner from 612.69 million kroner the prior year.
The company harvested 6,020 GWT, compared to 7,138 GWT last year. Average sales price was 64.8 kroner per kilogram, lower than 71.8 kroner per kilogram last year.
Looking ahead, the group expects to harvest volume of 7800 tonnes for the fourth quarter, and 27,200 tonnes on the whole for 2026.
On the Oslo Stock Exchange, the stock closed on Monday's regular trading 3.40% higher at 24.30 kroner.
