Profound Medical Corp. (PROF), Friday announced the launch of its TULSA-AI Volume Reduction module for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and the presentation of new clinical data on its incision-free TULSA Procedure at the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) meeting in Chicago and the Society for Urologic Oncology (SUO) meeting in Phoenix.

BPH is a common age-related enlargement of the prostate that can cause urinary symptoms. Traditional treatments like TURP have changed little in decades and carry risks such as bleeding and sexual side effects.

Profound's AI-powered TULSA-AI module seeks to modernize care by reducing procedure times and tailoring therapy to any prostate shape of size. The company expects this innovation to triple its total addressable market in prostate disease to about 600,000 patients annually.

The company highlighted real-world data showing reduced risk of sexual dysfunction and incontinence, while the CAPTAIN perioperative trial demonstrated superiority to robotic prostatectomy in blood loss, length of stay, post-op pain, and recovery time.
RSNA presentation schedule:

- CAPTAIN randomized controlled trial of MRI-guided vs. Robotic radical prostatectomy on December 1.

- Discover TULSA-PRO an AI-powered MRI-guided precision ablation presented on December 2.

- MR-guided TULSA- single-center outcomes in 160 patients with organ-confined prostate cancer, presented on December 2.

- Alongside on-demand educational lectures covering MRI-guided planning and focal therapy alternatives.

At SUO, Stanford investigators will present randomized controlled trial data comparing TULSA with robotic prostatectomy.

Profound emphasized that the TULSA Procedure, performed with TULSA-PRO system, is the only incision-free therapy applicable across the prostate disease spectrum, from cancer to BPH to hybrid cases.

The company noted its ability to preserve urinary continence and sexual function while offering a one-session, radiation-free treatment with rapid recovery.

Beyond prostate disease, Profound is also commercializing Sonalleve, a CE-marked therapeutic platform for uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, bone metastases pain palliation, desmoid tumors, and osteoid osteoma, with additional potential applications in abdominal cancers and hyperthermia therapy.

PROF closed Friday's trading session at $6.60, up 2.17%. Over the past 12 months the stock has traded between $3.76 to $8.75.
