Kane Biotech Inc. (KNBIF.OB) announced that Health Canada has approved its revyve Antimicrobial Wound Gel Spray, providing Canadian clinicians and patients with a new option for managing burns, ulcers, and large surface area wounds.

The spray is part of Kane's wound care portfolio designed to disrupt biofilms and reduce microbial burden, promoting a healthier wound environment. Biofilms are a major contributor to antibiotic resistance in chronic wounds, often leading to serious clinical outcomes and higher healthcare costs.

The product has already been cleared in the U.S. under the FDA 510(k) process, making this Canadian approval another regulatory milestone for Kane Biotech.

CEO Dr. Robert B. Huizinga said, "Health Canada's approval of the revyve Antimicrobial Wound Gel Spray is another step forward in our mission to improve outcomes for patients with chronic and hard-to-heal wounds. This approval validates the strength of our clinical data and provides Canadian healthcare providers with a new tool to address the burden of wound infections."

In the U.S., Kane has been advancing case series studies of revyve in wound care centres, with data presented at major conferences in 2025.

Revenue fell to $8,499 in the third quarter of 2025, compared with $1.28 million in the same period of 2024, when Kane benefited from animal health manufacturing and revyve product sales under a U.S. distribution agreement that has since been terminated.

Looking ahead, Kane plans to rebuild its U.S. distributor network and expand commercialization following Canadian approval.

The company has also submitted its revyve Antimicrobial Wound Cleanser to the FDA as the next product in its wound care line.

KNBIF closed Tuesday's trading at $0.02. Over the past 12 months, the stock has traded between $0.02 and $0.08.
