Galliford Try Holdings plc (GFRD.L, GFRD), a construction and infrastructure group, on Tuesday announced that its Water Technologies business has been awarded Phase 1 of South West Water's Continuous Water Quality Monitoring Programme.
The project will use South West Water's Tier 2 delivery model, led by the company, to install 86 automatic water samplers across wastewater assets in Devon and Cornwall.
The installations are designed to support compliance, which requires continuous monitoring of river and stream water quality.
The company said that the monitoring will take place upstream and downstream of storm overflows and sewage treatment works.
Parameters measured will include dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH, turbidity, and ammonia, with data scheduled for publication in 2030 to support public transparency.
The company said that the scope includes multi-parameter water quality sensors supplied by RS Hydro, supported by 3D scanning technology and Geographic Information System integration to optimize site selection, planning, and installation.
Galliford Try is currently trading 0.96% lesser at 515 pence on the London Stock Exchange.
