Implenia AG (IMPN.SW) Thursday said that it has been awarded new projects in Germany and Norway worth 350 million euros to construct three bridges and a tunnel to join motorway sections and connecting roads.
The Swiss construction and real estate company said the Peene Bridge project in Wolgast, Germany. is being delivered by a joint venture led by Implenia, along with DSD Brückenbau GmbH, Victor Buyck Steel Construction N.V., and Stahl Technologie Niesky GmbH. Construction began in December 2025 and is due for completion in February 2030.
Implenia said that its joint venture with Plauen Stahl Technologie has also secured the contract to demolish and replace the Markbreit Bridge over the Main River. The new structure will accommodate increased traffic volumes, with construction starting in autumn 2025 and completion scheduled for 2033.
In Norway, Implenia said that it has been commissioned by AF Gruppen to build the 552-metre-long Lågen Bridge as part of the E6 Roterud-Storhove motorway. Construction has already begun in October 2025.
Meanwhile, in Frankfurt am Main, Autobahn GmbH has awarded the first construction phase of the 1.1-kilometre Riederwald Tunnel to a joint venture comprising Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG, Bickhardt Bau SE, and Implenia. Work began in 2025 and is expected to last around three years, Implenia added.
On the Swiss Exchange, IMPN.SW is currently down 2.6 percent on Thursday's trading at 75.30 Swiss francs.
