Energiekontor AG (EKT.DE), a German renewable energy company and illwerke vkw AG, Wednesday said that they had signed agreements for the turnkey sale of two onshore wind parks in Germany with a combined capacity of around 93 MegaWatts, just before the beginning of the new year.

Following the transaction, Illwerke vkw, a Austrian renewable energy company, will expand its existing Völkersen wind park, which it acquired from Energiekontor in 2021, to a total capacity of approximately 104 megawatts.

The agreements cover the Haberloh and Heidkrug wind park projects located in the Verden district of Lower Saxony. Together, the two wind parks are expected to generate around 220 gigawatt hours of electricity annually from their first full year of operation, the companies said in an official statement.

Commenting on the agreements, Peter Szabo, CEO of Energiekontor AG, said, "The conclusion of the purchase agreements for the two wind parks marks a successful operational end to the 2025 financial year, with a total of seven sales and 14 financial closes. The turnkey handover of the Haberloh and Heidkrug wind parks, which is planned for the end of 2027, will create another reliable earnings base for the coming years, in addition to our own electricity generation."

On the XETRA Exchange, EKT.DE is currently trading up 1.3 percent on Wednesday at 35.50 euros.
