Fortescue Reports Higher Shipments But Lower Mining And Processing In Q2

Fortescue Limited (FMG.AX) announced that it shipped a total of 50.5 million wet metric tonnes of ore in the second quarter of fiscal year 2026, marking a 2% increase compared to 49.4 wet metric tonnes last year. The company mined 61.4 wet metric tonnes of ore during the quarter, slightly lower than the 61.9 wet metric tonnes recorded in the same period last year, reflecting a 1% decline.

Total ore processed came in at 49.8 wet metric tonnes, down 2% from 51.0 wet metric tonnes in the prior year.

For fiscal year 2026, the company expects iron ore shipments to range between 195 and 205 million tonnes, which includes 10 to 12 million tonnes from Iron Bridge on a 100 per cent basis.
