Elanders AB Swings To Profit In Q4; Announces Annual Dividend

Elanders AB (EA5B.F,ELAN_B.ST), a global logistics company, Wednesday, said that it turned to profit in the fourth quarter from a loss in the prior year quarter. While sales fell 2 percent, the company also proposed an annual dividend.

In the fourth quarter, the company posted result after tax of 48 million Swedish Kroner or 1.29 Kroner per share, compared to loss after tax of 14 million Kroner or 0.49 Kroner per share in the same period last year. On an adjusted basis, result after tax came in at 65 million Kroner or 1.77 Kroner per share in the given quarter, compared to 26 million Kroner or 0.66 Kroner per share a year ago.

The company's quarterly sales declined 2 percent to 3.05 billion Kroner from 3.77 billion Kroner in the corresponding period last year, excluding acquisitions and discontinued operations. According to Elanders, result before tax rose to 107 million Kroner in the fourth quarter from 41 million Kroner last year. On an adjusted basis, result before tax was 128 million Kroner, compared to 93 million Kroner in the prior-year quarter.

The company said that its Board is planning to offer a dividend of 2.10 Kroner per share for fiscal 2025, which is lower than last year's dividend of 4.15 per share.

On the Frankfurt Exchange, EA5B.F is currently trading at 6.33 euros, down 0.07 euros or 1.1 percent.
