Balfour Beatty plc (BBY.L, BAFBF, BLFBY), on Monday said it has secured a 315 million pounds highways maintenance contract in Warwickshire from Coventry City Council, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council and Warwickshire County Council.
The contract is scheduled to commence in spring 2026 and is expected to employ around 160 people at peak delivery, including graduate and apprenticeship roles.
The seven-year contract marks the company's third consecutive term delivering the Warwickshire Highways Maintenance contract, extending the partnership through to spring 2033.
The agreement includes an option to extend the term by a further six years, which could take the total contract value to around 900 million pounds.
Balfour Beatty Living Places will deliver road maintenance services across more than 5,000 kilometres of roads and carry out cyclical maintenance on over 55,000 streetlights.
The unit will also deploy a digitally enabled operating model with centralised planning and permitting to improve oversight, performance monitoring and future AI-enabled services.
On Friday, Balfour Beatty closed trading 0.28% higher at 714 pence on the London Stock Exchange.
