Boston Scientific Shares Slide 17% Despite Strong Q4 Growth

Boston Scientific Corporation (BSX) shares fell 16.79 percent, or $15.39, to $76.24 on Wednesday, despite reporting higher fourth-quarter earnings year over year.

Net income rose to $672 million, or $0.45 per share, from $566 million, or $0.38 per share, last year. Adjusted earnings increased to $0.80 per share, while revenue climbed 15.9 percent to $5.29 billion.

The stock opened at $81.38 and traded between $76.20 and $81.78 on the New York Stock Exchange. Trading volume was about 13.3 million shares, above the average of 10.45 million. The 52-week range is $76.20 to $109.50.
