C&C Group Plc (CCR.L) Thursday said that it has appointed Adam Phillips to the Board as Chief Financial Officer or CFO and Executive Director, following a thorough independent search and selection process. Phillips is set to join the company in April this year.

Phillips will take over from Andrew Andrea, who will step down from the Board on March 13, the Irish premium drinks company said in an official statement.

The company said that Phillips joins C&C Group from Headlam Plc, where he has served as CFO since March 2023. Prior to this, he was Group Financial Controller at Mobico Group Plc, a multinational transport provider, from 2019 to 2023. Earlier in his career, Adam held a number of senior finance roles at Halfords Group Plc, bringing a broad range of financial leadership experience.

Commenting on the appointment, Roger White, Chief Executive Officer, said, "We are delighted that Adam is joining our business. He has a highly relevant skill set and will further build the capabilities of the leadership team. I have every confidence that Adam will make an immediate impact as well as an important long-term contribution to the business."

On the LSE, CCR.L ended Wednesday's trading at 113.60 pence.
