Lotte Shopping Co., Ltd. (023530.KS), a South Korean retail company, on Friday reported a net profit for the fourth quarter, helped by increased revenue and narrower asset impairment loss.
For the fourth quarter of 2025, the company posted a net income of KRW 115 billion, compared with a net loss of KRW 1.016 trillion in the same period last year. EBITDA moved up to KRW 479 billion from last year's KRW 415 billion.
Operating profit stood at KRW 228 billion, higher than KRW 147 billion a year ago. This increase reflects improved department store performance, solid growth in Vietnam business, and other factors.
Asset impairment loss was KRW 127 billion, compared with a loss of KRW 1.184 trillion a year ago.
Revenue was KRW 3.522 trillion, up from KRW 3.477 trillion in the previous year. This was mainly due to solid department store sales from expanded traffic at large-format stores, increased foreign customer spending, and continued growth in Vietnam business.
