Emart Q4 Loss Narrows, Sales Edge Up

E-MART Inc. (139480.KS) on Wednesday reported lower loss for the fourth quarter with slight increase in revenue.

The retailer recorded a net loss from continuing operations before tax of 60.6 billion won for the quarter, significantly lower than a loss of 622.5 billion won in the same period last year.

Operating loss was 9.9 billion won, narrowing from a loss of 77.1 billion won a year earlier.

Net loss attributable to shareholders of the parent company for the fourth quarter was of 148.2 billion won, compared with a loss of 591.7 billion won in the same period of 2024.

Sales for the fourth quarter increased 0.9% year-on-year to 7.3117 trillion won from 7.2497 trillion won.
