The A2 Milk Company H1 Net Profit Plunges On Loss From Discontinued Operations, But Sales Rise

The a2 Milk Company Limited (ACOPF,A2M.AX), a dairy company, on Monday reported a steep decline in net profit for the first half, mainly due to a loss from discontinued operations. However, the company recorded an increase in sales.

For the six-month period to December 31, 2025, the company posted a net profit of NZ$10.913 million, less than NZ$91.725 million in the same period last year. Net income stood at 1.50 cents per share as against the prior year's 12.61 cents per share.

Loss from discontinued operations was NZ$103.681 million, compared with a loss of NZ$18.490 million a year ago. Earnings from continuing operations moved up to NZ$112.128 million from NZ$102.486 million in 2024. Operating profit stood at NZ$146.341 million, higher than NZ$125.829 million a year ago.

The company reported sales of NZ$992.558 million, up from NZ$835.405 million in the previous year.
