SEEK Limited Posts H1 Net Loss On Impairment, But Revenue Improves; Revises Annual Outlook

SEEK Limited (SEK.AX), an Australian employment-related service provider for job seekers, on Tuesday reported a net loss for the first half, mainly due to impairment. However, the company posted a rise in revenue. In addition, the Group has revised annual guidance.

For the six-month period to December 31, 2025, the company reported a net loss of A$249.9 million, compared with a profit of A$143.5 million in the same period last year. Net loss per share was 69.7 cents as against the prior year's earnings of 40 cents per share a year ago. Adjusted income was A$104.5 million, higher than A$85.2 million in 2024.

Loss from continuing operations was A$177.9 million, compared with a profit of A$139.8 million in 2024. This was primarily due to the impact of the equity-accounted investment impairment in Zhaopin.

Loss from discontinued operations stood at A$72 million as against a profit of A$3.7 million a year ago. Impairment loss was A$285 million, compared with A$000 million last year.

Net assets per share stood at 667.6 cents, less than 776.3 cents per share a year ago. Net tangible assets per share were 186.3 cents, compared with 294 cents per share last year.

Sales revenue was A$646.6 million, higher than A$536.2 million in the previous year. Net revenue improved to A$600.9 million from A$536.2 million a year ago.

The Group will pay an interim dividend of 27 cents per share on April 1.

Looking ahead, for fiscal 2026, the company now expects adjusted profit of A$195 million to A$215 million, compared with the earlier guidance of A$190 million to A$220 million.

SEEK Limited now anticipates EBITDA of A$530 million to A$550 million against the prior guidance of A$510 million to A$550 million. The Group, however, still projects total expenditure of A$810 million to A$840 million.

The company now anticipates net revenue of A$1.19 billion to A$1.23 billion, compared with the earlier expectation of A$1.15 billion to A$1.25 billion.

For fiscal 2025, SEEK Limited had registered an adjusted profit of A$155.2 million, with EBITDA of A$459.2 million, on net revenue of A$1.090 billion. Total expenditure was A$761.1 million.
