Kumba Iron Ore Limited (KIO.JO) on Thursday reported a slight decline in full-year profit, reflecting lower operating profit despite higher revenue and stronger finance income.
Profit before taxation slipped to 26.232 billion rand from 26.650 billion rand in 2024. The prior year included an impairment reversal of 3.940 billion rand, which did not recur in 2025.
Operating profit declined to 25.758 billion rand, compared with 26.361 billion rand a year earlier.
Net income attributable to owners of Kumba declined to 14.611 billion rand from 14.699 billion rand and earnings per share fell to 45.43 rand, compared with 45.70 rand a year earlier.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA), however, increased 14% year-on-year to 31.923 billion rand.
Revenue rose to 70.077 billion rand from 68.529 billion rand.
Finance income increased to 1.382 billion rand from 800 million rand.
The board declared a final dividend of 15.43 rand per share.
