Shares of Wayfair Inc. (W) fell sharply on Thursday after reporting its fourth-quarter results, with loss narrowing from a year ago, as revenues grew.
The stock is currently trading at $82.18, down $9.30 or 10.17%, on the NYSE. The stock opened at $76.83 after closing Wednesday at $91.48. The stock has traded between $20.41 and $119.98 in the past 52-week period.
Wayfair reported a fourth-quarter net loss of $116 million, or $0.89 per share, narrower than a loss of $128 million, or $1.02 per share, a year earlier. Adjusted earnings came in at $0.85 per share, compared with an adjusted loss of $0.25 per share last year.
Revenue rose 6.9% to $3.34 billion, supported by stronger order values and operational improvements.
