Korea Gas Slips To Loss In Q4 On Weak Sales

Korea Gas Corp. (036460.KS) reported Thursday a loss in its foruth quarter, compared to prior year's profit, amid sharply lower sales.

In the fourth quarter, net loss attributable to shareholders of parent company was 406.90 billion Korean won, compared to 332.41 billion won a year ago.

Operating income plunged 59.7 percent to 473.59 billion won from last year's 1.18 trillion won.

Sales declined 10 percent to 8.99 trillion won from prior year's 9.98 trillion won. Sequentially, sales climbed 41.1 percent from 6.37 trillion won in the third quarter.

In South Korea, the shares closed Thursday's regular trading at 43,900.00 won, up 0.23 percent.
