Verbund Full Year Profit Drops On Lower Production, Tax

Verbund AG (OEWA.DE) announced earnings for full year that Dropped, from the same period last year. The annual results reflect significantly lower electricity generation from hydropower and the negative impact of the extended windfall tax in Austria.

The company's full year earnings came in at EUR 1.48 billion, or EUR 4.29 per share. This compares with EUR 1.87 billion, or EUR 5.40 per share, last year.

The company's revenue for the period fell 2.6% to EUR 8.01 billion from EUR8.22 billion last year.

For the full year, Verbund recorded EBITDA of EUR 2.737 billion, down from EUR 3.480 billion in the previous year.

For fiscal 2025, Verbund will pay a dividend of EUR 3.15 per share, which includes a regular dividend of EUR 2 per share and a special dividend of EUR 1.15 per share.
Looking ahead, for fiscal 2026, Verbund expects net income of around EUR 900 million to EUR 1.200 billion, with EBITDA of around EUR 2 billion to EUR 2.500 billion.
