Aegon NV (AEG,AGN.AS), a Dutch financial services provider, said on Wednesday that its board will propose the extension of the term of Lard Friese as chief executive officer at its annual general meeting on June 10.
The proposed extension will run until 2030, the company said.
His current term is scheduled to end in 2028. Friese has been working as CEO of Aegon since May 2020.
David Herzog, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said: "The Board is very pleased to propose to our shareholders to extend his term until the AGM of 2030. This will provide leadership continuity as we relocate to the US and implement our ambition to become a leading US life insurance and retirement group."
