Ares Management Corp. (ARES), an alternative investment manager, on Thursday announced it has raised approximately $5.4 billion in total capital for its U.S. and European value-add real estate strategies.

The capital includes equity commitments, GP commitment, and related transaction vehicles following the final closings of Ares US Real Estate Fund XI and Ares European Property Enhancement Partners IV.

The U.S. strategy raised about $3.5 billion in total capital, including hitting the $3.1 billion hard cap for its US XI fund, while the European strategy raised approximately $1.9 billion.

The funds will be deployed to invest in value-add real estate opportunities across high-demand "New Economy" sectors such as logistics, multifamily, and self-storage in the U.S. and Europe.

The company said the strategies have already deployed or identified around $1.1 billion in initial investments and are targeting opportunities in supply constrained sectors amid an early real estate market recovery.

In the pre-market trading, Ares Management is 1.70% lesser at $104 on the New York Stock Exchange.
