Hyundai Rotem Company (064350.KS), a manufacturer of railway vehicles, on Friday reported strong year-on-year growth in profit and revenue for the first quarter.
Net income from continuing operation before income tax stood at KRW 275.600 billion, 36% up from KRW 202.632 billion a year earlier.
Operating income rose to KRW 224.201 billion, compared with KRW 202.853 billion last year.
Net income attributable to shareholders of the parent company increased 27.1% to KRW 201.372 billion from KRW 158.385 billion a year earlier.
Sales reached at KRW 1.4575 trillion, 23.9% up from KRW 1.1761 trillion a year go.
