Hanwha Systems Co., Ltd. (272210.KS), a defense electronics and ICT smart solutions company, on Monday reported a loss for the first quarter despite growth is sales.
Loss before tax came in at 115.702 billion won, compared with a profit of 14.740 billion won in the same period last year.
Operating profit edged up to 34.284 billion won from 33.633 billion won a year earlier.
The company reported a net loss attributable to shareholders of parent company of 54.979 billion won, versus a profit of 27.870 billion won in the prior-year period.
Sales, however, rose to 807.099 billion won from 690.101 billion won last year.
