Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (NAS.OL) Tuesday said that its net loss narrowed in the first quarter of 2026, helped by a strengthened Norwegian Krone and gains related to jet fuel hedges. Total operating revenue also climbed from last year, aided by a load factor of 87.6 percent.
The low-cost airline company reported a net loss of 362 million Norwegian Kroner or 0.34 Kroner per share in the first quarter, lower than the net loss of 757 million Kroner or 0.82 Kroner per share in the same period last year.
According to Norwegian Air Shuttle, pre-tax loss narrowed to 459 million Kroner from a loss before tax of 756 million Kroner in the previous year quarter.
The company's total operating revenue climbed to 6.90 billion Kroner in the first three months from last year's 6.58 billion Kroner. In the first quarter, operating loss or EBIT fell to 220 million Kroner from negative 611 million Kroner.
On the Oslo Exchange, NAS.OL ended Monday's trading at 13.33 Norwegian Kroner, down 1.11 percent.
