LG Uplus Corp. (032640.KS), an ISP and Network Operator, reported a higher profit for the first quarter compared to prior year, as revenues increased.
For the first quarter, net income increased 6.8 percent to 176.900 billion Korean won from 165.700 billion Korean won last year
Net income from continuing operation before income tax grew 10.9 percent to 222.500 billion won from 200.500 billion won a year before.
Operating income came in at 272.300 billion won, compared to 255.400 billion won in the prior year.
Quarterly sales rose to 3.8 trillion won from 3.74 trillion won a year earlier.
On the KSE, shares of LG Uplus were losing 0.58 percent, trading at 15,310.00 Korean won.
