Daiichi Sankyo Earnings Fall; Guides FY27

Daiichi Sankyo Co. Ltd. (DSKYF,4568.T, DSNKY), a Japanese pharmaceutical company, on Monday reported lower net income in the full year ended March 31, 2026 compared with the previous year.

For the full year 2026, profit attributable to the owners of the company declined 12.1 percent to 259.87 billion from 295.76 billion in the prior year.

Earnings per share were 140.37 yen versus 155.87 last year.

Core operating profit jumped to 3.59 billion yen from 312.84 billion yen in the prior year.

Operating profit declined 31 percent to 229.09 billion yen from 331.93 billion in the same period last year.

Revenue increased to 2.12 trillion yen from 1.89 trillion yen in the previous year.

Looking ahead, the company expects revenue of 2.28 trillion yen and core operating profit of 360 billion yen, while operating profit is expected to be 315 billion yen for the full year ending March 31, 2027.

For the full year 2027, the company expects profit attributable to the owners of the company to be 260 billion yen with basic earnings per share of 142.88.

Daiichi Sankyo closed trading 2.04% higher at JPY 2,649 on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
