Bharti Airtel Ltd. (532454) on Wednesday reported profit before tax of ?100,447 million for the fourth quarter, higher than ?95,839 million in the same quarter last year.
Profit before depreciation, finance costs, and taxes rose to ?323,701 million from ?274,946 million a year earlier.
Net profit attributable to owners of the parent fell to ?73,251 million or ?12.15 per share compared with ?110,218 million or ?18.38 per share a year earlier.
The company recorded a tax expense of ?7,973 million in the latest quarter compared with a tax credit of ?28,919 million a year earlier.
Revenue from operations increased to ?553,832 million from ?478,762 million a year earlier.
Total income rose to ?562,617 million from ?483,620 million in the prior-year quarter.
