Toyo Engineering Slips To Loss In FY26; Sees Profit Rebound In FY27

Toyo Engineering Corp. (6330.T) on Thursday reported a loss for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, compared to a profit a year earlier as net sales declined. Further, the firm issued fiscal 2027 outlook, expecting a profit with higher sales.

For fiscal 2026, loss attributable to owners of parent was 14.94 billion Japanese yen or 255.03 yen per basic share, compared to a profit of 2.02 billion yen or 34.49 yen per basic share last year.

Operating loss was 19.00 billion yen, compared to a profit of 2.59 billion yen.

Annual net sales declined 34.2 percent to 182.94 billion yen from 278.09 billion yen in the previous year.

The Japanese engineering, procurement, and construction company did not declare a dividend for fiscal 2026 after paying 25 yen per share last year but said it expects to reinstate the same payout in fiscal 2027.

Looking ahead to fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, the company forecasts net profit of 6.00 billion yen or 102.39 yen per basic share, operating profit of 3.00 billion yen, and net sales of 190.00 billion yen, up 3.9 percent year-over-year.

On the Tokyo Stock Exchange, shares of Toyo Engineering closed Thursday's trading 0.84 percent higher at 2,151.00 yen.
