Swedish investment firm Kinnevik (KINV-A.ST,KINV_B.ST,KINV_A.ST) said Monday it has appointed Helena Saxon as Chief Executive Officer, effective August 1.
Earlier, Saxon served as the Chief Financial Officer of Nasdaq Stockholm-listed Investor AB from 2015 to 2024, and prior to that, worked as an investment manager. She is also a non-executive director of H&M and Novo Nordisk.
The appointment follows the November 20 announcement that CEO Georgi Ganev would leave Kinnevik.
Ganev, who had led the company since January 2018, was to remain as CEO for up to 12 months or until a successor was appointed. Board member Rubin Ritter subsequently took over as interim CEO on March 15.
On the Stockholm Stock Exchange, shares of Kinnevik were gaining 11.44 percent, changing hands at 76.00 Swedish Kroner.
