KMD Brands Limited (KTHUF), an outdoor, lifestyle and sports company, on Wednesday said its board has launched a business review to assess the group's capital structure, portfolio configuration and other value-creation opportunities.

The company said external financial and legal advisers will be appointed in the coming weeks to support the process.

"Our commitment to creating long-term value for shareholders is the Board's clear priority. In parallel with our focus on improving KMD Brands' operating performance, this business review is an appropriate next step at this time. The Board is committed to assessing all credible options that have the potential to deliver superior value for shareholders," said Philip Bowman, Chair KMD Brands.

The review is expected to conclude on or shortly before the release of fiscal 2026 results in September 2026.

KMD also reported improved third-quarter sales with group sales growth of 5.2% year-on-year.

Kathmandu posted third-quarter sales growth of 12%, while same-store sales including online rose 12.6%.

Rip Curl recorded sales growth of 4% in the third quarter, while Oboz recorded a sales decline of 8.9% due to wholesale shipment timing, though online sales increased 19.3% following its Shopify launch.
