Thermal processing services firm Bodycote plc (BOY.L) on Wednesday said its trading in the first four months of 2026 was in line with expectations, with growth in group revenues at constant currency. Further, the firm maintained its fiscal 2026 outlook.

In its trading update for the four months to April 30, the company reported that Group revenue grew 1.9 percent year-on-year at constant currency, versus a 6 percent decline in the prior year, reflecting Core business growth, partly offset by plant exits under the Optimise programme .

Core revenue rose 9 percent at constant currency, compared with a 5 percent fall a year earlier, led by its Specialist Technologies division and strong demand in Aerospace & Defence and Industrial Gas Turbines.

Organic core revenue grew 8.4 percent in the period, excluding the contribution from the Spectrum acquisition completed in January 2026. Specialist Technologies delivered organic revenue growth of 16.5 percent.

Looking ahead for fiscal 2026, the company continues to expect Core organic revenue growth and improved operating margins. The firm noted that growth would moderate in the second half as comparators become more challenging, particularly in Aerospace & Defence.

The group flagged ongoing geopolitical and economic uncertainty and said it would continue to manage input costs and preserve cost-base agility.

On the LSE, shares of Bodycote were gaining 0.84 percent, changing hands at 843.50 pence.
