United Microelectronics May Sales Rise 17.8%

United Microelectronics Corp. (UMC, 2303.TW), a Taiwanese semiconductor company, reported net sales revenue of NT$22.94 billion for May 2026, compared with NT$19.48 billion a year ago. This represents an increase of NT$3.46 billion year over year, reflecting growth of 17.8 percent.

For the first five months of 2026, cumulative revenue reached NT$106.65 billion, up from NT$97.79 billion during the same period in 2025. The increase of NT$8.85 billion resulted in year-over-year growth of 9.1 percent, United Microelectronics added.

On the NYSE. UMC ended Thursday's trading at $20.79, down 2.9 percent. In overnight trading, the stock is down 0.43 percent at $20.71.
