Royal KPN NV (KPN) on Monday said its wholly owned subsidiary KPN Mobile International B.V. entered into an agreement with Versatel Telecom International N.V. and Versatel Nederland B.V. to acquire Tele2 Belgium N.V. and Versatel Belgium N.V. for EUR 95 million on a debt and cash-free basis.The company stated that the acquisition would enable its mobile subsidiary BASE to expand its regional distribution reach in Belgium. The company plans to run Tele2 Belgium independently from BASE.
