Phoenix Technologies Ltd. (PTEC) on Wednesday introduced the AwardCore Tiano and SecureCore Tiano, a support for the Intel Platform Innovation Framework (codename Tiano), in its primary core systems software offerings (BIOS products).The introduction of the Framework support assures its OEM and ODM customers that the company can meet their needs at every point in their transition from legacy BIOS implementations and drivers to more efficient and modular UEFI standard drivers and plug-ins.The company reported that AwardCore Tiano would be on display at the Intel Developer Forum today and tomorrow. The demonstration will be running on an Intel-based reference board.AwardCore Tiano is available now for PC OEMs and ODMs to evaluate and customize for desktop systems, and SecureCore Tiano for mobile systems will ship later this quarter.
