Monday, Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. (ASTI), a thin-film photovoltaic modules developer, said it appointed Bruce Berkoff as its chief marketing officer.
Berkoff brings with him over 25 years of executive experience in engineering, product development and marketing for technology companies.
Berkoff, who was chief marketing officer of LG.Philips LCD (LPL), currently serves on the boards LG Display and Unipixel Inc. (UNXL.OB), other than working with LCD TV Association as its chairman. Earlier, he was the chief executive officer of Enuclia Semiconductor.
Mohan Misra, Ascent Solar's chairman, commented, "Bruce's visionary insights and proven leadership in development of international business will further enable us to strengthen and develop additional strategic partnerships as we work to complete the installation of our initial 30 MW production facility and our subsequent planned expansions."
ASTI closed Friday's trading at $5.80 on a volume of 188K shares.
