UK M4 Money Supply Grows In November

Friday, a final report from the Bank of England showed that the M4 money supply grew 16.4% year-on-year in November, slightly revised up from 16.3% increase reported in the preliminary report. The annual growth accelerated from 15.3% recorded in October.

On a monthly basis, money supply rose 1.2% in November unchanged from the preliminary estimate, but slower than the 2.8% growth recorded in the prior month.

M4 sterling lending rose by GBP14.4 billion, revised from GBP17.8 billion. This represents a monthly increase of 0.6% and an annual growth of 13.7%.
