Thursday, Avanti Communications Group Plc (AVN.L) said it entered into contract with the Department of Enterprise Trade and Investment to supply remote broadband services in Northern Ireland.
The contract is valued at GBP 1.1 million, which covers costs of installing and managing network infrastructure, with end user customers then paying ongoing monthly subscription charges worth around GBP 450 thousand per annum.
Avanti noted that it would deploy services immediately using its rented capacity, migrating customers to its new satellite, Hylas.
