Freddie Mac CEO David Moffett to resign - Quick Facts

Freddie Mac (FRE) announced that its chief executive officer, David Moffett, has notified the chairman of the board of directors of his resignation from his position as chief executive and as a member of the board effective no later than March 13, 2009. Moffett indicated that he wants to return to a role in the financial services sector.

In a separate press release, Freddie announced it would not issue a Reference REMIC security during the week of March 9, 2009. The company's 2009 Reference Notes and Reference REMIC calendar designates monthly issuance weeks that it may use to issue new Reference REMIC securities.
