Thursday, Hitachi Data Systems Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd. (HIT) said it appointed Jack Domme to serve as the company's chief executive officer. Domme, who was appointed chief operating officer in 2007, succeeds Kosuge who was appointed chief executive officer. In addition, the company promoted Minoru Kosuge to chairman of Hitachi Data Systems. The appointments are effective April 1, 2009.
Domme first joined Hitachi Data Systems in 2003 and has held a number of management positions at the company. Prior to his appointment as chief operating officer, Domme served as executive vice president of Global Solutions Strategy and Development responsible for product design, technical strategies and product management.
