Christopher & Banks Names Rodney Carter CFO - Update

Women apparel retailer Christopher & Banks Corp. (CBK) said Friday that it has appointed Rodney Carter as executive vice president and chief financial officer effective June 15. Michael Lyftogt, who has been serving as interim chief financial officer, will continue as vice president, finance.

According to the Plymouth, Minnesota-based company, Carter will manage all financial and accounting areas along with Real Estate, IT, and Supply Chain & Logistics Departments.

Carter has more than 20 years of financial leadership experience.

Most recently he was executive vice president, chief administrative officer and chief financial officer at Zales Corp., where he was responsible for the finance, accounting, real estate and IT areas.

The company said that Carter has a retail background and has held key financial positions at PETCO, CEC Entertainment and J.C. Penney Co. or its subsidiaries.

CBK closed Thursday's regular trading at $5.44 on the NYSE.
