One-hit wonder Right Said Fred reached the top of the charts with "I'm Too Sexy" on February 8, 1992.The song was a satire of self-obsessed fashion models. Lyrically, it consisted largely of a list of "I'm too sexy for my..." statements, with the singer declaring himself too sexy for things like his shirt, his cat and his car.Right Said Fred was formed in the late 1980s by brothers Richard and Fred Fairbrass. They became a trio in 1990. "I'm Too Sexy” was featured on their debut album, "Up," which reached number one in the U.K. (though it only peaked at number 46 in the U.S.). While they would never have another hit in America, the band scored a few top-ten songs in Britain."I'm Too Sexy" took over number one from "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" by George Michael and Elton John. It reigned for three weeks, before being replaced by Mr. Big's "To Be with You."
