Nelly Furtado hit the top of the Billboard 200 chart with “Promiscuous” featuring Timbaland on July 8, 2006. The track is included on her album “Loose” and followed her previous 2006 single "No Hay Igual.”

When the track hit number one on the chart, it claimed the top spot from "Do I Make You Proud” by Taylor Hicks. Nelly and Tim held the top spot for six weeks before Fergie moved into the top spot with "London Bridge.”

The aptly titled song gained recognition for its seemingly dirty lyrics, but speaking with Blender magazine, Nelly said it’s merely about talking dirty:

"Tim and I called it 'The BlackBerry Song' because everything we say in the song you could text-message to somebody,” she explained.
