Country star Mark Nesler was born in Beaumont, Texas on January 5, 1961. He began his musical journey at a young age when he started playing guitar and soon showed flair for bluegrass, also picking up the banjo. His professional career started shortly after he finished high school when he joined a band called Two Dollar Pistols. After playing regularly with the group for several years he inked a publishing deal with MCA in 1994. The led to a touring gig with Tracy Byrd’s touring band.It was in 1998, however, that Nesler scored his first number one hit, when Tim McGraw took the song “Just to See You Smile” to number one. Tim cut the track on his album “Everywhere” and it also hit the top of the country charts in Canada.
