Abigail Johnson, whose personal wealth is $14.4 billion, ranks eighth among the richest women in the world. This 55-year-old U.S. citizen has been featuring on this list from the past few years. Abigail has a management degree from the hallowed Harvard University. She worked for many years at Fidelity Investments, the investment fund her grandfather Edward Johnson had founded before heading it. In 2016, she became the Chairman of the international money management company Fidelity International also. She owns an estimated 24% stake of the firm Fidelity Investments, which manages assets worth $2.1 trillion. Johnson is a member of the various trade organizations like the Committee on Capital Markets Regulation and the board of directors of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA). She is the first and only woman to serve on the board of the Financial Services Forum. In 2016, Forbes ranked her as the 16th most powerful woman in the world.
