Jacqueline Mars, worth $27 billion, is the 77-year old face of a global candy empire. Though she was born in the United Kingdom, her grandfather Frank Mars founded the world’s largest candy maker Mars in America in 1911. She inherited the company with her two brothers when her father died. The company Mars is well known for producing favorites like Milky Way, Snickers, and M&Ms. Mars married David Badger in 1961; they had three children. She divorced Badger in 1984. She married Hank Vogel in 1986, and again divorced him in 1994. In late 2013, Mars was involved in a car accident near her home in Northern Virginia. One person died on the spot, while another was pregnant and subsequently miscarried. Mars was charged with reckless driving, and pleaded guilty. Jacqueline Mars is known as a financial investor and a philanthropist.
