SCB-2019 is being developed by China-based Clover Biopharmaceuticals in collaboration with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and Dynavax Technologies Corporation (DVAX).Current Status: SCB-2019 is under a phase I trial in Australia.Mode of Action: SCB-2019 is a trimeric SARS-CoV-2 spike (S)-protein subunit vaccine based on Clover’s proprietary Trimer-Tag technology. Next Milestones:Preliminary safety and immunogenicity results from the phase I trial are expected in August 2020.A global Phase IIb/III efficacy study of the vaccine is expected to be initiated by year-end 2020.
